Weekend Reflection #63 | Birthdays, Family and Fun

It’s time once again to reflect on the past week. What were some of the positive things that happened? What really bothered you? Did you laugh? Cry? Stand on your head? Whatever you did this past week I want to hear it. Writing down all the crazy things that happened over the past week is a good way to deal with stress. As our lives get busier and busier along with it is stress. It is time to let it all out so you can enjoy your weekend. I am so tired that I’m having a hard time thinking back to this past week. Maybe there wasn’t a whole lot going on this week. For some reason I just can’t remember. I’ll blame pregnancy hormones.

Courtney started her Academic Talent Search class at Sacramento State this past week. She is taking a class on screenplay writing and loves it. The first day she came home saying, “Mom you are going to be jealous,” as she tossed the the complete script to The Princess Bride over to me. Jealous? Me? No. I think it is cool that they are learning about one of my favorite movies.

Courtney will be going to Wisconsin in a couple of weeks and she’ll miss her last two classes. I feel bad but she is really looking forward to going home to see Grandma and Grandpa.

Ciara didn’t do anything unusual this past week. She is getting excited about having another baby brother soon. She’s the only one of my kids that is showing a little excitement. She is also looking forward to attending preschool at the same school her big sister attends. She’ll be going there on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Chris works on Mondays and Tuesdays so I’ll get a break from her on those days. I can’t wait! I think it will be easier for me to work if I only have two kids to look after.

Conan had a wonderful birthday yesterday. We didn’t take any still photos but we got some great videos. I’ll share them on WW. He was so funny when we sang Happy Birthday to him. You’ll have to wait until Wednesday to see what my little sensitive guy did.

Today I am off to another birthday party. This one is for my sister-in-law’s friend’s daughter who shares the same birthday as my son. She turned 1. Her friend doesn’t have any family out here so she consideres us her family. But I barely know her or her baby. The party is at my in law’s and I will feel guilty if I don’t go. Also my kids’ cousins will be there and I know they will be looking forward to seeing them again. (We were just over there last night for Conan’s party).

This morning I’ll have to run to Wal-Mart, grab a gift and a card and then it is off to my inlaws once again. That’s alright we’ll have fun.

I would love to hear how your week went. Join in the fun and don’t forget to leave your link!

The stress will continue today as I clean around kids who are shooting off like rabbits speed around here. You see Saturday is loud music and full cleaning day at my house.

Of course I did cry in the middle of the week – My kids completely did me in and I didn't have the energy for a spanking or time out or just sending them to their room and so I just broke down and cried.

I'm glad you are going to that birthday party. She does need all the support she can get. I feel like I am her without family / friends close by.

    Happy belated birthday to Conan!

How fun for Courtney, that's great she is in that class.

I'm glad Ciara is excited about her little brother – that is a good sign!!!!

Thank you for your recent comment, hope your week is going well so far!
