Many people think about their New Year’s Resolutions long before January 1. Now that over a week has passed since the 2011 has begun what goals have you set for yourself this year? How are you doing at sticking with those goals?
Busy moms like us frequently do not find the time for self improvement. We are constantly on the go with our minds on our kids instead of ourselves. I challenge you to think about what you would like to do differently for the new year.
Typical New Year’s Resolutions are losing weight, getting more organized or taking better care of your health. All of these are great but we should reach down deeper inside ourselves and think about other ways we can make this year one of the best years ever.
Ask yourself these questions:
Did I spend enough quality time with my children in 2010 or did I let my career, friends, or other priorities get in the way?
How healthy is my marriage? Did I communicate well with my spouse in 2010?
Did I put God first in my life?
Have I neglected my own health?
Did I make time for friendships in 2010?
We all can work on self improvement for the new year. I know I need help in all of the areas listed above. What are your goals for the New Year?
