My Kid is Smarter Than Me

I am amazed at the talents and abilities of my children. I have a creative one, an entertaining one, an athletic one, a cute one and of course the kid who constantly surprises me, the smart one.

I love them all and try my best not to compare them to each other. However, when I talk about Parrot around Goose she gets jealous and upset. I am sorry but he is only three and he blows my mind every single day. In fact it terrifies me. Read More

Just wondering, does reading make kids smarter than those that don't read much, or are the kids that are already smart read more than the kids that aren't as smart? Tell me your opinion/experience. Thanks 🙂

Has anyone got some witty, humorous parenting tips they would like to share? You know, the stuff they don't teach you in books. A friend is expecting her first baby and I'm compiling a selection of the best to give her a laugh at what baby care & parenting is REALLY about!

  • I am feeling your pain! I have a smart one, a funny/entertaining one, and a cute one (although they are all – all of the above- they each fall into one of these catagories stronger than the other) On the topic of giftedness- I have one who is “scary smart” – in a good way, but it is still scary. Of course I want to offer him everything he needs (so we homeschool) but, I also want him to enjoy a normal childhood. We spend a lot of time in the great outdoors- check us out! 🙂
