Fitness Friday #Linkup #BlogHop – Progress

Enter the Hangout

I created this Blog Hop to help me stay motivated to continue to work out on a regular basis.  However, over the past week I did not stick with my goal of working out or going for a run at least five days during the week.  Life happened and my role as a mom took up most of my time.

I am not progressing like I should on my health and fitness goals. When I returned home late last Wednesday night, January 15, from visiting my Dad for his birthday, three of my kids were sick with the Norovirus. This is a highly contagious virus that causes you to throw up and have diarrhea. I spent all day last Thursday cleaning and sanitizing my home while tending to my ill children. The next day my kids felt much better and they returned to school.

Friday night I caught the virus and was sick in bed until Sunday morning.  Sunday and Monday were spent getting caught up with housework. Tuesday my husband left for a conference and I have been busy taking care of my five children ever since.  I have been lazy with my workouts.

The temperatures out here are going to be close to 40 degrees this weekend so I am going to make a point to go for a run on Saturday and Sunday.  I need to get back in shape. I promise I will not slack off this next week.

Here are some great fitness quotes.  They help encourage me to work out and take care of my health. I hope they will help you too.
