Fitness Friday #BlogHop #LinkUp – My Fitness Update

These past couple of weeks have been extremely busy. If you also read my other blog, Talbert Zoo, you will know that we are moving from Spokane, Washington to Chicago, Illinois the first week in August.  I am so busy packing up the house and getting ready for our move that I haven’t had as much time to myself.

My view when taking my youngest for a stroller ride.

Usually I am able to work out or go for a run 3-5 days a week.  For the past couple of weeks the only workouts I have managed to fit into my schedule are taking my youngest for a stroller ride in the afternoon so he can take a nap. I don’t have a fancy jogging stroller, just a cheap Graco purchased at Wal-Mart over eight years ago.  Instead of jogging or running with my child in the stroller I power walk.

When I am under stress from a change in schedule like our big move I tend to under-eat. I believe that moms need to fit in “me-time,” in their busy lives and I try to help my readers learn how to do that.  Unfortunately, I am under a lot of stress and haven’t took my much needed “me-time.”

Scaling back on my workouts and eating less has caused me to lose 6 lbs over the past month.  For those of you who know me and have met me in person you know that I am 5’1″ and at my heaviest I weighed 145lbs and that was right before my fourth child was born.  My normal weight is usually between 98lbs to 110.  I am a very petite woman and my fitness goal has always been to build muscle and have a lean body.  It isn’t good if I lose too much weight.

Right now I just do not have the time to take care of myself like I should. Hopefully, after the move I will be able to get back into a normal fitness routine and feel better.  For now this is on hold.
