I always make sure I stick with a regular fitness routine. Exercise helps me deal with the stresses of motherhood and taking care of three children and a young adult with special needs. Working out regularly boosts serotonin levels allowing me to feel better about myself and fight insomnia.

My favorite cardio fitness exercise is running. Now that summer is here in Chicago and the weather is nice I am running more regularly. This moring I went for a two mile run near where I live and set a record pace for myself. I ran a mile just under eleven minutes. I think that’s pretty good for a 37 year old mother of five.
