Saint Patrick – #Wordless Wednesday with #linky on a Tuesday

Saint Patrick

Saint Patrick Prayer

According to Wikipedia, Saint Patrick was a fifth-century Christian missionary, and bishop of Ireland.  It is believed that Patrick was captured by Irish pirates from his home in Britian when he was 16.  He was slave in Ireland for six years before returning back to his family.  After becoming a cleric he returned to Ireland and later on in life he became a bishop.

Catholics celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on March 17, which is the day of his death.  St. Patrick’s Day is also a major holiday in Ireland.  Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? How do you celebrate the holiday?

I made a Reuben Casserole last night for the first time. This morning we had a green breakfast: Green Waffles turned green with green superfood powder, Chocolate Mint Smoothie, spinach leaves, and almonds. I thought it was good. Isaak was a little moody this morning, so he wasn’t too excited about it. We wore green. Tonight we’re going to Village Inn because Mica got a free meal slip from school to there.

It sounds like you had a fun St. Patrick’s Day. I like the green waffle idea. I might have to try that with my kids next year. Thanks for stopping by, Alissa. Have a great weekend!

  12. St. Patrick’s Day was gloomy for me, we laid my sweet grandmother to rest, it was a life celebration but sad all at the same time!

I am sorry to hear about your grandmother. I hope your weekend is better. Thanks for stopping by, Tricia.
