Saint Patrick
According to Wikipedia, Saint Patrick was a fifth-century Christian missionary, and bishop of Ireland. It is believed that Patrick was captured by Irish pirates from his home in Britian when he was 16. He was slave in Ireland for six years before returning back to his family. After becoming a cleric he returned to Ireland and later on in life he became a bishop.
Catholics celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on March 17, which is the day of his death. St. Patrick’s Day is also a major holiday in Ireland. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? How do you celebrate the holiday?
