Motherhood with a Twist of OCD

Motherhood is challenging and can be stressful at times.  This is especially difficult for mothers who struggle with mental health issues.  We naturally worry about our kids, but when our worrying keeps us up at night it can turn in to anxiety, insomnia or even depression.  Blogger Jenna Stewart knows first hand how challenging it is to parent, and has had her own struggles with OCD.

“I am a mother of two, who tells it like it is. Motherhood is hard. Motherhood with anxiety is even harder. The message I try to give my readers is that your best is always good enough. Laugh at yourself and the craziness that is parenting. It is the only way to survive. Life with children is messy, chaotic, and exhausting, but it is so worth it,” she writes.

Her blog, Motherhood with a Twist of OCD, is all about her life in Burlington, VT with her husband Pat, and their two, crazy, yet adorable children, Bo and Riley. In addition to working full-time, she is a professional diaper changer, wine lover, coffee addict, OCD survivor, and hater of play-doh. You can read her story at motherhoodwithatwistofocd.com.
