Stitch Fix Helps Busy Moms Stay On Top of Fall Trends

I absolutely LOVE fall. Now that we’re living in Alaska we FINALLY get to enjoy fall weather, instead of an Indian summer. All things pumpkin (and of course pumpkin spice), crisp air and beautiful fall patterns just make me so excited!

The best part about living in Alaska is that I finally get to explore fall fashions. In North Carolina I never was able to fully give up my summer apparel until the end of October. Even after November there were still some 60-70 degree days that made wearing a sweater unbearable.

As a Mom, I still like to think I’m just as stylish as I was pre-baby, however I rarely have time to shop now. Before I became a mom, I loved checking out local boutiques. As many parents know, it’s near impossible to try clothes on with a 10-month old trying to crawl around. We’ve also recently moved to a location that has very few shopping options. That’s why I’m so glad I discovered Stitch Fix!

Stitch Fix is a company that assigns a stylist  to pick out clothing items based on your personal fashion preferences and price range. You can request custom boxes for upcoming events, or custom pieces like I did for my Stitch Fix Box. I’ve been DYING for a cute quilted vest to wear and I FINALLY got one in my last box! As someone who does not have the time or resources to shop, Stitch Fix has been an answer to my prayers.

The best part about Stitch Fix (besides the amazingly beautiful clothes and easy process) is that you don’t have to keep the clothes that are sent to you! You will be charged a $20 styling fee, however when you purchase an item from your box that fee will be deducted from your final charge. If you LOVE all 5 of your items and decide to purchase the whole box, you get a 25% off discount. You can pick and choose what items to buy and what to send back. Stitch Fix will send a pre-paid return shipping priority bag for you to return your unwanted items in as well.

I’m not someone who will easily step outside of my comfort zone. I tend to buy the similar boring outfits. However, Stitch Fix has given me the opportunity to try and discover new styles to love. This is especially handy at the beginning of the new season since there are always new styles and trends to try.

Not satisfied with your Stitch Fix box? Don’t give up just yet! You can request to switch your stylist. Take advantage of leaving your stylist a personal note about what you’re wanting in your next box and create a Stitch Fix board on Pinterest for your stylist.
