Relieve Dry Winter Skin with Maple Holistics Argan Oil

Every year I search for how to relieve dry winter skin. I’ve tried lotions, creams and petroleum jelly. They all offered temporary relief. After washing my hands several time my dry skin reappeared.  I needed to find something better.

Maple Holistics, makers of natural beauty products, has an argan oil that moisturizes skin and hair to heal winter damage including dry winter skin.  Argan oil is a plant oil derived from the kernels of the argan tree which is grown in Morocco.  According to Wikipedia, the extraction process for producing argan oil begins with workers roasting the kernels. After the kernels cool they are ground and pressed. The brown-colored mash expels pure, unfiltered argan oil. Finally, they decant unfiltered argan oil into vessels. The remaining press cake is protein-rich and frequently used as cattle feed.

Cosmetic argan oil is produced almost identically, though the argan kernels are not roasted to avoid an excessively nutty scent. Cosmetic argan oil is used as a moisturizer for skin and hair. Maple Holistics uses argan oil in many of their products, although my favorite is the Pure Argan Oil for Hair, Face, Body and Nails.

Before Using Maple Holistics Argan Oil

This is how my hair looked before applying Maple Holistics Argan Oil.

It comes in a bottle with a dropper. All you do is put a few drops on your dry skin or nails or rub it into your hair. I noticed a difference right away in my dry  skin and my frizzy winter hair was smooth and soft after applying the oil. This argan oil does relieve dry winter skin. Now that I am using argan oil, my skin on my hands is soft and the moisture lasts throughout the day.
